BIG day!

Calvin had a very big day today.  He got to meet his cousins Hava and Gabe and they all got to have a chat with Santa.  I was so amazed at how perfectly thrilled everyone was to see Santa.  No tears in sight!  After that we went to Calvin's 2 month check up at the Dr.  His Auntie Heidi joined us which was so great.  She is so in love with her nephew!

Drumroll please....Cal is now 13 pounds and 24 inches long!!!  Can you believe he has grown 4 inches in 2 months?  Crazy!  The doctor also said he is very socially advanced...of course he is : )  He also got his shots and was such a little trooper.  Just a big cry for about 1 minute and he was back to his chilled out self.  I am so proud of my little man.  What a great way to kick off the holidays.

Merry Christmas to all!  We wish we could be with everyone during this very special holiday.  I whispered to Santa that I got everything I want for Christmas already.  Calvin truly is the greatest gift we could have ever imagined.  Thank you God for our miracle.

2 months old!!!

Calvin is 2 months old today.  We spent the day cozied up at home during this crazy snow storm.  He is getting so big.  I see him changing everyday.  Smiling, moving, making noises and sleeping through the night!  I am truly amazed by him and thank God everyday for blessing us.  I can not imagine this world without him.  We are just such a perfect little family now!  2 months old and Christmas just around the corner...what a wonderful time!

The magic hold

Without fail this hold soothes the little guy when he is having a tough time.  I mean he is really relaxed!

The Smiler

Well looky at what we can do!!!  The little man has been flashing his gums all over the place!!  I just can't get enough!

Godmother Denise in Seattle!

Due to a stroke of luck and Aunt Denise's very cool job with the NY Jets, Calvin got to meet his godmother this weekend.  We had  a very fun sleepover down near the army base where her cheerleaders were visiting.  What a blessing that she would be here to spend time with us.  We just love her so much!!!  And she was so amazing with Calvin.  She put him right a ease.  And we figure in about 16 years he will appreciate that he was being fawned over by the Jets cheerleaders : )

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

Here is the little man feeling snow flakes on his face for the 1st time.  Can you tell we are excited?

Big firsts...

The holiday season has brought upon some very fun firsts.  Last week the family set out for Calvin's first Christmas tree.  Of course he had to wear his Santa cap which I am sure he will greatly appreciate when he looks back at these photos: )  And last night Calvin has his very first snow!  We were all very excited.

Sleeping boy

Calvin has been blessing mommy and daddy with a full nights sleep for the past week!  But the naps during the day are now rare.  Here are a few fleeting napping moments.

Tummy time

The little man really likes his tummy time mat.  There were even a few smiles : )

Just hangin out

Cal and I were just watching a movie together.

Hiccups

Not a day has gone by since I was about 6 months pregnant that Cal hasn't had the hiccups.  They always come in the evening and nothing has changed since he was born.  Here are the hiccups in action.

More pics from the Market

Santa!!!!!

Calvin made his 1st trip to the Pike Place Market and he got to meet the big guy....SANTA!!!!  We spent the whole day at the Market walking around, shopping and enjoying lunch.  They also had the official holiday lighting which was beautiful.  It was a great day we'll never forget!

Bath time!

Cal has graduated to the sink.  He loves bath time especially having the warm water over his head.  His little frog body fits just perfectly in the bathroom sink.

Little sleeper...

This was just too cute not to post : )  Cal was cuddling with grandma.

Big Family Thanksgiving!

What an incredible 1st Thanksgiving Calvin had.  His Uncle Bobby and Aunt Chrissy came out from New York for the very first time.  Grandma was also here to celebrate with the little man.  We got to spend the day at the Snohomish Stephens with the whole family.  24 people in all!  We had such a fantastic day.  I am so thankful for my beautiful family.  God has truly blessed us with an angel.

Cal is 1 month old!!!!

Wow!  How time flies with Calvin in the world.  The little man is 1 month old today and we just can't believe it.  He is already getting bigger and is doing more and more to amaze us every day.  He holds his head up on his own and his grip is so strong.  He is even starting to sleep longer.  We have seen a glimpse of a smile but only when he is asleep.  So much more lies ahead with our buddy and we look forward to every little moment.  I truly can't imagine our world without him.  How is it that someone so small can completely change your life is just 1 short month?  We have never been happier.

Calvin and his Mama

Cal and I have so much fun together.  I just love him more than I can possibly express.  I am so thrilled that I get to spend the rest of my life with him.

Fun visitors

Calvin has had a few very fun visitors in the past week.  Last weekend Aiden, Shawna and Calista came over to hang with Cal and they brought Chinese food along!  We had so much fun relaxing and enjoying the evening together.  And then Pete and Shelly stopped by after work this week.  Pete was the master of the binky...it's a rare skill.
Everyone is welcome to come by just let us know when you'd like to meet the little man.

Seahawk Sunday...and a day of firsts

Today was a big day in the Stephens household.  It was Seahawk Sunday and Calvin was rocking his gear for the 1st time.  We also went on our 1st walk which was a lot of fun.  Calvin loves to be in the car seat so he was out like a light for the whole stroll.  Then daddy gave him his 1st bottle which Calvin scarfed down in record time.  This is very exciting for mommy!!!  Now Calvin and daddy can be on their own for the afternoon.
